In this, the centenary year of his birth, Gael Linn is delighted to release on CD
readings given by the poet Máirtín Ó Direáin of his work. Generations of
students have studied such poems as ‘An tEarrach Thiar’, ‘Cuireadh
do Mhuire’ and ‘Cranna Foirtil’. These lyric poems by Ó Direáin’s gain
an added richness when you listen to the poet himself reading them.
Oroginally issued as an LP in 1969, the material has been unavailable for
many years. Now re-mastered, the poet’s rich voice will transport you
to the Aran Islands of his youth.
