Chris Twomey is one of the mainstays of country music in Cork City. He is well known as a member of The Lee Valley String Band, and this is his first solo album. Chris plays autoharp, guitar and concertina, and is a good old-time singer. This is an eclectic mixture, with bluegrass songs and Civil War ballads and some Irish instrumental pieces. Having played music for nearly forty years, it was time for him to make a record. The result shows that the wait was worthwhile.
