"There is a tunnel-like hole behind the shed in Johnny Barry’s broken down yard. It was made by his old dog way back although it looks like it was made by a badger who got fed up and decided to set up home somewhere else. A ragged hedge grows over it now and reveals it when the wind blows sometimes. The dog has long since passed on.“
