Bully’s Acre is an exciting new trio comprising of Peter Browne (accordion), Lucas Gonzales (Guitar), and Robbie Harris (Percussion).
"Lucas Gonzalez is an Argentinean musician based in Dublin and he plays both classical and flamenco guitar styles" he says. "I used to play with him in a band called Gato Azul and we thought he would be great to bring his flamencoesque brio to traditional Irish tunes.
We needed a musician that would be comfortable with the rhythmic terrain and to be able to improvise and Peter Browne was top of the list. We came together in 2013 and played a few gigs in Meeting House Sq and The Village in Dublin and after that decided to record an album". |
