- Mick Moloney - McNally's Row Of Flats
This is Moloney's tribute to Ed Harrigan and David Braham, two giants of the music hall in 19th century USA. Harrigan and a partner, Tony Hart, had been making a living as singers when they met Braham, whose daughter Harrigan married. Braham and Harrigan began writing songs together and eventually wrote entire stage entertainments, meeting with great success. On this album Moloney performs their ?greatest hits?, with an authentically assembled group of players. It is Irish-American rather than Irish, but it successfully captures the feel of the everyday entertainment that awaited the Irish emigrants in New York.
