Coming Soon to Claddagh Records, Dolores Keane’s ‘There Was A Maid’ remastered and released on vinyl for the first time in over 40 years.
Claddagh Records are delighted to re-release one of the most celebrated folk song albums of all- time back onto Vinyl.
Dolores Keane’s first solo album, although previous to it she was a co-founder of the Irish traditional group De Dannan.
Combining her own talents as a singer with her multi- instrumentalist husband John Faulkner’s abilities, the record comes together brilliantly.
The instrumentation’s melody and Keane’s voice produce a truly wonderful and beautiful experience, at times the music keeping an understated quality to allow Keane’s voice its deserved time in the spotlight.
Also a highlight are the unaccompanied songs in which Keane takes centre-stage. Not to be missed, a true example of Irish folk singing at its finest."
