About

On this album Mary plays music from the local repertoire, reels, jigs, hornpipes and barndances. There are also tunes that she learned during the years she spent teaching in Dublin. Her music has a subtle sincerity that eschews flashy ornamentation. She is joined by some of the people with whom she most enjoys playing - her brother Andrew on accordion, flute player Catherine McEvoy and pianist Geraldine Cotter.
